Well, here we are again at the start of another new year. Now is the time to do the yearly checks on your machines. Start with the "level" of the machine. Check all lube points to be sure you do not have broken lines or plugged meters, then check and adjust the Feed Screw Nuts, the Index Worm and Gear backlash, the Index Worm endthrust, the Feed Worm Gear endthrust, and the Bevel Gear backlashes. Of course, the machine should have been completely cleaned and the coolant replaced before even starting these procedures. This is also the time to verify Overarm alignment and Tailcenter alignment. You will be well satisfied with the results if you perform these few simple checks once a year.
